Volunteer and Make a Difference!

Thank You for Your Interest in Volunteering with First Tee – Greater Chicago!

At First Tee – Greater Chicago, we use the game of golf to teach life skills and core values that empower young people. Our programs focus on the Five Key Commitments—helping kids set goals, overcome challenges, and build positive self-identity. Golf is more than just a sport; it’s a powerful tool to shape character, strengthen communities, and open doors for young people.

Our volunteers are essential to this mission. By sharing your time and support, you help inspire and empower the young people we serve, and we’re truly grateful for your interest.

Typical Programming Schedule

Our programs run seasonally, with classes offered Monday through Saturday:

  • Spring (March–May):
Once a week for one hour, in 4-week sessions
  • Summer (June–August):
Once or twice a week for one hour, in 4-week sessions
  • Fall (September–October):
Once a week for one hour, in 4-week sessions

We ask that volunteers participate 4–6 times per year. This level of involvement helps provide consistency for our participants and allows them to build meaningful connections with the adults who support them.
